If a bulk bag either provides no protection against static electricity or has not a breakdown voltage less than 6Kv, we can regard it as Type B FIBC. A type B FIBC is made from plain polypropylene or other non-conductive material, which makes it does not have any mechanism for dissipating static electricity. And there are two solutions to achieve a low breakdown voltage in FIBC made from woven polypropylene. One way is to use uncoated fabric, the other way is to apply a very thin coating. And the low breakdown voltage can prevent the occurrence of highly energetic and dangerous propagating brush discharges (PBD). The powders or other materials that produce fines might leak through the uncoated fabric; a thin coating also faces the occurrence of holes and tears which are incapable of providing the containment and protection required for packaging powders. They can be used to contain dry, combustible powders(MIE>3 mJ). And no flammable solvents or gases present around the bag.
